How to do subscript and superscript for mathematical and engineering operations in Medium
A subscript or superscript is a character (number, letter or symbol) that is (respectively) set slightly below or above the normal line of type. It is usually smaller than the rest of the text.
Subscripts appear at or below the baseline, while superscripts are above. Subscripts and superscripts are commonly used in formulas, mathematical expressions, and citations, but have many other uses as well.
Currently, Medium only supports superscript for numbers. To generate a number, such as βΆβ΅, simply type: 6^ 5 (with no spaces between the 6 and the caret or between the caret and the 5).
Medium does not automatically support subscript, but following the same copy and paste method utilized above, you can achieve the desired effect:
Subscript Numbers: β β β β β β β β β β
Subscript Letters: β ᡦ πΈ πΉ β π» π° β α΅’ β±Ό β β β β β β α΅© α΅£ β β α΅€ α΅₯ π β ᡧ π
